Device in Computer

What is Device?

Any machine or component that physically attach(wairs and wairless) to a computer is an example of device .

Types of Device?

There are two types of device
1. Input Device
Ex:- Keyboards , Mouse , Scanner , light pen etc....
2. Output Device
Ex:- Monitor, Printer, Projector, Speaker etc....

Monitor

It is an output device through which be can display the our data on the visual screen. It is also called visual display unit (VDU).
Each and every character made-up of dot that is called pixel.

This is an input device.

It is an input device it enter or input the data in the computer.
There are six types of key in a keyboard.
1.Alphabet Key
2.Symbolic Key
3.Function Key
4.Special Key
5.Numeric Key
6.Multimedia Key

Printer

This is an Output Device which can produce the hard copy of data .

Types of Printer

There are two types of printer
1. Impact printer
2. Non Impact printer

Scanner

This is an Input device which can enter or accept soft copy of data in the computer
